Hello! My name is Sam Argent, and I am an intern in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Through my own personal therapeutic journey, I have come to understand the need for people to have access to a space where they can speak their mind in a safe and non-judgmental space. My goal as a counselor is to provide exactly this to individuals who are seeking out their own therapeutic journey, and walk that path alongside them. My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helping people identify ways to make meaningful change in their lives and increase their quality of life. I combine this approach with aspects of person-centered therapy to engage the client with empathy and unconditional positive regard. I have primarily worked with neurodivergent individuals and grief counseling. I am committed to the betterment of my clients and look forward to accompanying you on your very own therapeutic journey!
