Hi, I’m Alena Armstead, M.A. I’m a graduate of Lindenwood University, where I earned my  master’s degree in School and Professional Counseling. I’m currently working toward my LPC licensure while serving as a School Counselor.

I’ve spent over 15 years working in urban school settings, supporting individuals who have experienced severe trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, grief, and more. My passion is providing guidance, effective interventions, and a compassionate listening ear to those in need of emotional and social support.

I believe in creating a safe and welcoming space where you can heal, grow, and feel truly heard. I work with clients ages 10 to 100, meeting each person with empathy, compassion, and zero judgment.

While I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I also integrate tools from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — especially mindfulness — and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). By pulling from different approaches, I can tailor our work together to your unique needs and goals.

I’m dedicated to walking alongside you in your journey toward personal growth and emotional well-being. If you’re ready to start, I’d be honored to work with you. Let’s begin your healing journey together.
