Hello, I’m Alena Armstead, M.A., LPC. I earned my master’s degree in School and Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University in 2017.

I’m not your typical “stuffy” therapist—I’m down-to-earth, culturally competent, and goal-oriented. My aim is simple: that you leave each session feeling even a little better than when you walked in. Building a strong, positive relationship with my clients is at the heart of my work.

I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment where healing and growth can happen—and yes, we’ll share a few laughs along the way, because laughter is good for the soul. I work with clients ages 7 to 100 (individuals, families, and couples) meeting each person with empathy, compassion, and respect.

My approach is flexible and tailored to your needs. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), particularly mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This integrative style allows us to focus on what works best for you and your goals.

I’m committed to walking alongside you on your journey toward personal growth and emotional well-being. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to support you. Let’s begin your healing journey together.
